October 2016 – I exhibited and presented my work, “Immersive Reality, Preservation, and Development: Traditional Dancing Sculptures in the Trinidad Carnival,” at an Immersive Reality Symposium at Penn State University. The event, organized by Professor Conrad Tucker from the School of Engineering Design Technology, brought together leaders from industry, government, and academia, interested in exploring the unique opportunities within some of today’s most immersive technologies. The keynote speaker for the event was Joaquim Jorge, an Association for Computing Machinery Distinguished Speaker and professor of computer graphics and multimedia at the Universidade de Lisboa in Lisbon, Portugal.
