Posted by June 2019 – From June 4 – 9th, I took six first year architecture students from the Georgia Institute of Technology to participate in a construction competition at the Tongji University in Shanghai, China. The International Construction Festival attracted 13 international student teams from architecture institutions in the Americas, Europe, Oceania as well as Asia, 19 first-year student teams from domestic architecture colleges, and 16 first-year student teams from Tongji University. The competition involved designing and building a pavilion made of plastic hollow panels. We had one day to build it.
